c. 1920s; Wolf Model Form Co. - New York

Professional tailor's dress form produced by Wolf Model Form Co., featuring a collapsible torso labeled Model 1970, Size 14, mounted to a height-adjustable cast iron base with rolling casters. The canvas-covered form is constructed with shaped panels and stitched seams to accurately represent the female figure, while the lower wire cage and central post allow the form to raise and lower smoothly for fitting and display. A turned wooden finial crowns the top, completing the classic workshop silhouette.

Wolf Model Form Co. was one of the leading American manufacturers of dress forms in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, supplying professional tailors, fashion houses, schools, and industrial garment shops nationwide. Their forms were prized for durability, accurate proportioning, and mechanical adjustability-qualities that made them staples in both commercial and educational settings.

This example was salvaged from Harper College, reflecting its long service life in an instructional environment. The canvas surface shows minor scuffs, marks, and age-related discoloration consistent with use. The cast iron base exhibits paint wear and surface oxidation. The form rolls easily on its casters and raises and lowers as intended.

Readable, concise, and clear
Format: Paperback
I am a fan of the late Dr. Heiser. He was a consummate scholar who was not afraid to challenge the status quo or tradition in cases where he felt Scripture was being mishandled or interpreted out of context. This book, the second of a two volume commentary series on the book of Enoch, was written to provide a readable commentary text to help the average person to understand this fascinating second temple period composition. I believe he succeeded admirably in navigating and explaining this work drawing heavily on the best scholarly interpretive sources.
